FAQ

How do I get the pump to open?

1) Insert the pump onto the bottle, turn the ribbed collar clockwise (right), and firmly tighten.

2) Turn the spout counterclockwise (left).

3) The spout will pop up and be ready to use.

Why does the soap look different than the pictures?

Being a natural product without any dyes, there are subtle differences in the ingredients that cause the product to take on individual characteristics. Think of it like when you pick out produce. It may not look the same as last week, but the nutrition levels are still the same. All of our ingredients are chosen from premium sources and tested thoroughly before they arrive in your home.

How long will this last?

Although individual results will vary, our testing has shown that the 12-ounce bottle will clean 576 hands.  Our 64-ounce refill pouch will clean over 3,000 hands.

Worthy of the Puracy name

Like the other Puracy cleaning products I use, this company's Natural Liquid Hand Soap is formulated to be effective without using harsh, caustic chemicals that can be absorbed through the skin (the body's largest *****) and can be harmful to people,, pets and the environment. Liquid hand soap is more hygienic than bar soap, and Puracy's is also gentle on my hands, which I'm even more grateful for during the current health crisis, when we are being urged to wash our hands much more often throughout the day.

Keeps my hands clean and doesn't dry out

Thank you Puracy for the fast shipment curing COVID-19! I've been using this soap for years, it keeps my hands clean while not making them dry. Believe me - I have been washing my hands A LOT and they are not noticeably drier than normal.

Not effective for Covid.

We understood this sanitizer was not only safe but also effective in protecting against the current Covid virus. According to CDC recommendations, the ingredients in Puracy are not reliable to protect from the Covid virus. So I’m this case, this hand sanitizer is too gentle and not useful.

Hi Tami, We understand your concern, and I would like to shed some light on this. There are some main points I want to make about the confusion surrounding our benzalkonium chloride-based foaming hand sanitizer and how it compares to the alcohol-based versions. 1. The FDA regulates these products, not the CDC. The FDA bases their decision on rigorous clinical data with Level 1 studies. Since the FDA is the governing body in this category, we focus on their policies. 2. In 2019, the FDA approved 3 ingredients for use in hand sanitizer and banned 28 others. The three were ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, and benzalkonium chloride (what we use). Here is the article: https://cen.acs.org/safety/consumer-safety/US-FDA-finalizes-hand-sanitizer/97/web/2019/04. 3. No hand sanitizer has been clinically proven to kill the coronavirus. There are no studies done on it simply because it is too new. 4. The FDA states that the hierarchy of hand hygiene is the following: 1. Wash hands with soap and water 2. Use hand sanitizers if soap and water are not available Here is another scenario where the CDC and FDA were on opposite sides when it came to recommendations for treating an illness: https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/why-the-cdc-and-fda-are-telling-you-two-different-things-about-the-flu/. The CDC and FDA are two completely separate government entities. Again, we follow the governing body who regulates the specific product we offer. In this case, the FDA has approved the statement on our hand sanitizer label which states “Kills 99.9% of germs in 15 seconds.” The reality is that this is a new strain of virus and there hasn't been enough work done to determine what works and doesn't work. There certainly haven’t been any Level 1 clinical studies done (https://www.elsevier.com/__data/promis_misc/Levels_of_Evidence.pdf). Our primary recommendations are the following: • Wash your hands correctly and often (rinse, scrub with soap for 20+ seconds, rinse, dry with a clean towel) • Don't touch your face • Avoid touching public surfaces when possible (door handles, gas pumps, shopping carts) • Supplement hand washing with hand sanitizer and rub in for at least 15 seconds We outlined these in an updated blog post - https://puracy.com/blogs/puracy-blog/flu-season-tips-to-stay-healthy-with-puracy-products Best, Customer Experience @ Puracy support@puracy.com

Puracy Hand Sanitizer and Soaps

I cannot recommend Puracy hand sanitizers and soaps enough. These products easily get rid of dirt and germs without using harsh chemicals. I prefer Puracy because of the natural, safe ingredients used in all of their products. I trust the company and whatever they produce.
