If you have carpeting in your home, chances are you’ve experienced unfortunate spills and stains at some point.

You can now make quick work of unsightly spots without calling in the professional cleaners. Forget about spending hours and elbow grease scrubbing out stains: The powerful plant enzymes in Puracy Natural Stain Remover do most of the work for you.

First, Immediately Tackle Fresh Stains

The key to removing stains is to act quickly. The longer spills set into carpet, the tougher they’ll be to remove. The next time you notice a carpet stain, use this simple method to completely remove marks and smudges.

1. Get as Much off as Possible

If the spill is thick or chunky, remove any mess on the surface with a spoon/spatula before working on the stain itself. Get as much off as possible so you can concentrate on the soiled carpet below. As you gently lift the mess away, avoid rubbing it deeper into carpeting.

2. Dilute with Warm Water

If the stain is fresh, dilute it with warm water. This will make the next step a bit easier.

3. Blot, Blot, Blot

When removing a carpet stain, never scrub the soiled area. This will work the spill deeper into the fibers of the carpet, causing an even bigger mess, and perhaps permanently damaging the carpet. Take a dry, clean cloth and blot gently (but firmly) to lift the stain from the carpet.

Even if blotting doesn’t remove the spot completely, it will at least soak up any remaining liquid from the spill. Continue blotting until the cloth doesn't pick up any more color.

If you’ve tried the steps above and the blotch won’t budge, it’s time to try the best carpet stain remover for set in stains.

How Puracy Natural Carpet Stain Remover Works

Puracy Natural Stain Remover gets its power from naturally-derived, plant based enzymes – not synthetic chemicals.

Similar to digestive enzymes in the human body, plant-based enzymes “eat away” at stains until they’re gone. Because enzyme molecules are so small, they’re able to penetrate deeply into fibers to eliminate stains far below the top surface of whatever material you’re cleaning.

While our closest competitor uses three plant enzymes, Puracy Stain Remover is the only stain remover on the market to use all six plant-based enzymes:

Using Puracy Stain Remover on Carpets

The first step to getting a beautifully-clean carpet? Using this product as a natural carpet stain remover. But the directions differ slightly, depending on what caused the stain in the first place.

Cleaning General Stains

For run-of-the-mill smudges, spray the soiled area with Puracy Natural Stain Remover and wait at least 15 minutes. The longer the spray sits, the better your results.

Cleaning Tough Stains

For tougher stains (like tomato sauce and wine), spray this natural stain remover on the area and let it sit for at least eight hours. Next, gently agitate loosened dirt with a paintbrush or other soft-bristled brush.

Pro tip: To help the stain remover work its magic, we recommend placing a heavy skillet, brick, or book in a sturdy plastic bag, then laying it on top of the dirty area. Cheap, generic plastic bags puncture easily and the ink is notoriously weak when exposed to moisture.

Rinse Your Carpets

After you’ve pre-treated the area, move on to rinsing it.

Smaller rugs should be laundered in the warmest water that fabrics will allow. Be sure to check care instructions before putting any rug into the washing machine.

For carpets, fill a bowl with warm water. Saturate a clean cloth with water and press into the stain, blotting it with light pressure. Rinse the cloth with fresh water and repeat the process until the stain remover (and the stain) is lifted from the carpet.

If you have a carpet cleaning machine, fill the canister with warm water and use according to manufacturer instructions.

Reach for Natural Carpet & Upholstery Shampoo

If you’ve followed the above instructions and can still see blotches, don’t worry: Puracy Natural Carpet & Upholstery Shampoo rapidly removes the most stubborn stains, soils, and odors from carpets and upholstered surfaces.

How Puracy Carpet Shampoo Works

Like the Stain Remover, the plant enzymes in our natural carpet shampoo eat away at tough stains without damaging fibers or changing the color/quality of upholstery.

However, you can skip right to deep cleaning by hand or with a machine. Dilute the concentrated Puracy Natural Carpet Shampoo: Add 1 oz. of cleaner to 100 oz. of water for an easy “green” carpet cleaning solution.

Washing Carpet by Hand

Just like the technique we recommended above, soak a clean microfiber cloth in your cleaning solution and gently blot (don’t scrub!) affected areas of your carpet. Using a second clean cloth and warm water, blot the area to pick up remaining shampoo. Repeat until there’s no more foam and the stain and/or odor are gone. Finally, use a dry microfiber cloth to blot up any excess moisture.

Using Puracy Carpet Shampoo with a Carpet Cleaning Machine

For machine-cleaning, fill the removable tank with your diluted carpet shampoo solution. Shake the tank before reattaching and shampooing carpets (or use an attachment to clean other upholstered surfaces.

After cleaning, fill the tank with clean water and complete another cleaning cycle to remove all cleaner from the surface.
